Progressive solutions, rooted in traditional values.
Back in 1989, Jeff Mack started Integrated Computer Systems Support (ICS Support) from a friend's spare room. Coming from a farming heritage where you had to go out and "earn your keep" every day, he was never one to shy away from hard work. So with 36 hours notice, he prepared to take care of his first customer.
A small team with big ideas.
"They were humble beginnings for sure," says Jeff. "We had four people sharing a desk and a phone." ICS Support initially started out deploying and servicing Open Systems accounting software and SCO Xenix systems and within a few months expanded to include the highly sought after Sage MAS 90 accounting software line.
In the second year of operation, Jeff reached out to past colleagues, Chris Faist and Ron Taylor. It wasn't long and the team added SCO Unix systems to their lineup and became Master Developers for the Sage MAS 90 and Sage MAS 200 suite (now Sage 100 ERP). It opened several new doors and created opportunities to tailor solutions to unique specifications, as well as integrating numerous systems and data.
Then came the Internet and Y2K.
In 1995, the Internet had clients clamoring for business class Internet services which weren't available yet, so the company launched Internet Services of Washington to meet those needs. After 5 years, the team sold ISW.
Around that time, there was also a growing need for enterprise-class business management systems which Sage MAS 90 and 200 systems weren't ideally suited for. ICS Support evaluated numerous products to fill that gap and chose to add the Microsoft Dynamics NAV product line.
What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.
By the end of the decade, ICS Support had been recognized for three straight years as one of Washington's Fastest Growing 100 Privately Held Companies. Along with many other technology companies, the new millenium came with challenges and while several competitors didn't survive, ICS Support persevered. It took a lot of patience and creative thinking, but it all paid off.
The rapid evolution of technology in the mid-2000s brought steady growth for ICS Support. The team outgrew their Kirkland offices and moved to an expanded office in Redmond, continuously adding products and services to meet their customers' needs. A new network infrastructure group was established to offer cost-effective managed IT support plans, VOIP, and communications systems.
And we are getting stronger every day.
Today, ICS Support continues to grow and serve small to midsized businesses across the U.S. and Canada. With a wide range of innovative solutions spanning ERP software, IT services, network support and the emerging technologies of cloud, virtualization and mobility -- customers enjoy having a single source for all of their technology needs. Exciting changes are happening every day, but one thing that will never change is the company's founding principles of personal, knowledgeable, reliable service.
